Santa Fe National Forest, Hyde Memorial State Park, 
Group Shelter #1

Hyde Memorial State Park Group Shelter #1 is found on NM State Road 475, on the way to the Santa Fe Ski Basin.  The Park is approximately 9 miles from downtown Santa Fe.

  • Bring your favorite lawn chair, food to be shared (covered dish and/or dessert).  Please, sign up on the church sign up sheet at church
  • Burgers, hot dogs, water will be provided along with condiments, paper plates and plastic ware.  NOTE:  no glass ware is allowed at the shelter.  Be sure to bring a sweater or jacket, since it can become cool in the mountains under the shelter
  • Parking Fee:  if you drive your car to Hyde Park, a $5 day/use feel will be required.  Rather than fill out individual pay permits and placing them on your car, park rangers will come by to collect the fee in one payment and issue a single receipt.  Please, place your $5 in the manila envelope available at the shelter.
  • Please, note that there will be no service at the church
