Beginning today, the BBBS begins a new study of the book of Nehemiah. Â
Nehemiah, a layman living in Babylon and the official cupbearer of the Persian King, when hearing of conditions back in Judea about those who had returned, goes to Judea with a third group of exiles. His primary work is to help rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Â
The Book of Nehemiah shows God's grace particularly, and serves a type of Messiah, foreshadowing the ministry of Jesus' work of restoration.

In addition to reading and studying a chapter, Hebrew word studies and visual references, charts, and maps assist in digging deeper into the text.Â
