Large Catechism Study

Join a summer weekday study of the Large Catechism—the Ten Commandments—on Thursdays, 2:00 PM in the church library.

Pr. Escue leads the thirty (30) minute study, which includes reading a few paragraphs of the Large Catechism (written by Dr. Martin Luther) and sharing commentary.

Studying Martin Luther's Large Catechism (published in 1529) offers a rich, conversational guide to the core foundations of the Christian faith.

Originally compiled as a manual to help pastors preach and fathers teach their families, it serves as an excellent resource for anyone looking to go deeper into Scripture.

Sometimes referred to as the "Layman's Bible," the LC unpacks biblical theology into practical, daily Christian living, e.g., "what does it mean to be a Christian?  How should I live my Christian life? etc.".
