SEASON OF LENT 2024

February 14 - March 30, 2024

During Lent, join us on Wednesday evenings for Lenten Vespers, 7:00 PM (Soup:  6:15 PM).

We are also on ZOOM for those unable to physically attend.

Vespers include the reading of the passion narrative from the Gospel according to St. John, singing of lenten hymns and special prayers.

LENTEN VESPERS THEME:

This Lenten season, we will give close consideration to the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ from the Gospel according to St. John.
As a disciple of Jesus, John was a witness to what occurred prior to the crucifixion of Jesus.
John accurately records Jesus’ betrayal and arrest, Jesus facing Annas and Caiaphas, Jesus before Pilate, Jesus delivered, Jesus crucified, and Jesus’ death and burial.
In all of these accounts, we come to see the majesty and glory of Jesus that’s hidden under his suffering and death.
May God the Holy Spirit, working through the inspired text given to St. John, imprint the image of Christ crucified in our minds, hearts and on our consciences.
